Tides of Ire

Rising nu metal band Tides of Ire have just released their debut EP ‘The Burning Sea’. Bursting with insane vocals and stunning guitar riffs, there is nothing average about this EP. It is full on, no fucks given, straight up heavy metal!

Five guys consisting of Mark Wills on vocals, James Harper on lead guitar, Matt Kateley on rhythm guitar, Sam Aldridge on bass and Leonardo Ozorio on drums form Tides of Ire. Drawing influences from world class bands such as Limp Bizkit, Machine Head and Gojira, the Tides of Ire sound has been gracing local venues and blowing the minds of the crowds before them.

The EP opens with the tension building, yet atmospheric title track ‘The Burning Sea’ which feels Pink Floyd-esque in it’s overall sound. Packing a strong, grunge laden punch is ‘December Nights’ featuring a stunning guitar solo. The vocals and breakdown in ‘Extraction’ are superb and this track is sure to get crowds going wild. The final track is ‘Repent/Replenish’ which has a phenomenal scream on the chorus and provides perfect head banging material. The versus also contain a rhythmic rap section typical of the nu metal genre coupled with a funky drum and bass line.
