Making waves in the underground scene is rock band Dead Man’s Whiskey. Filled with gritty vocals reminiscent of Chris Cornell alongside energy bouncing off the fret board in each solo, this is a band you don’t want to miss out on.
Taking influences from classic rock bands such as Black Stone Cherry and Guns n’ Roses, you’ve got Nico Rogers on vocals, Billy Kons on lead guitar, Elliott D’Alvarez on rhythm guitar, James Titley on bass and Charlie Gray bringing the bands heartbeat on drums.
‘War Machine’ kicks off with a great riff coupled by strong, timeless vocals and a super catchy chorus. My favourite track has got to be ‘My Year’ with its southern tinge, well written lyrics and changing dynamic throughout the track. ‘Hoe Street’ has a real Guns n’ Roses feel to it and the solo is killer!
With their list of gigs growing by the minute, I’m sure they’ll be at a venue near you. Catch Dead Man’s Whiskey here: http://deadmanswhiskey.wixsite.com/official and look them up on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Spotify.
