Nu Metal band Hair Trigger blew the roof off The Attic with Trash Heads on 2nd December when supporting headline act Aylith’s Flag.
Heavy riffs, gritty vocals and Tom Morello inspired usage of the whammy pedal echoed throughout the performance. A cover of Slipknots Psychosocial kicked off the set, a major influence of the band, followed by fantastic original works singing about life experiences and evoking deep emotions such as End of the Road and Suffocate.
Relentless (which you should check out right now if you haven’t already) is a piece worthy to be a metal chart single, it has such a catchy chorus that you’ll find yourself singing it for the rest of the day. Not only that but this is quite accessible to those who are new to heavier music genres so this would be a good place to start if you are wanting to get into Metal.
The absolute masterpiece of this band is Antipresence. If there was ever a track to get a band on the radar it would be this, dare I say it, this will be what brings them the lime light. It is genius in every sense of the word. Inspired by Pink Floyds Great Gig in the Sky, it oozes psychedelic Prog rock but has a moment of excellent emotional release the second the vocals kick in and what a memorable moment that is.
If you get a chance to see these guys live, go for it! You’ll have so much fun with Jack on the vocals giving a truly charismatic performance you’ll be on your feet singing the words right back at him as the crowd did that night. You’ll get Karl shredding up and down the fret board so fast you’ll think you need glasses and Will laid down some awesome basslines while Aidan brought the heartbeat of the band with his super fast skills on the drum kit particularly noticeable during his solo sections!
Get over to Facebook and Instagram right now and check out Hair Trigger!
